WHO IS YOUR MUMMY AND WHERE DID SHE GO?

Company Four's summer 2022 R&D took place at The Lowry, Slunglow's venue The Holbeck & Waterside Arts and was supported by Arts Council England and Action on Postpartum Psychosis.
The company experimented with spoken word, puppetry, projection, movement, verbatim and live music to explore real experiences of Postpartum psychosis, including the real story of Mary Ann Barker, Gemma's great, great Grandmother, who suffered from the mental illness in 1900.
In 2025 Who Is Your Mummy And Where Did She Go? was performed at Waterside Arts after being developed into a 50 minute show with a complimentary exhibition at the venue that showcased work created by people with lived experience of postpartum psychosis.
